About the OKonomist

Mickey is an economist who serves as the Dean of the College of Business at the University of Central Oklahoma. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Academy, the Oklahoma Council for Economic Education and on the Governor's International Team. A frequent op-ed contributor and speaker on public policy issues affecting Oklahoma, he has also authored policy reports for organizations like the Urban Insitute, Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute and the UCO Policy Institute. He was also named the 2007 Oklahoma Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
